The City of Burlington is proud to offer
two basketball program options designed to provide a fun, structured, and skill-building experience for youth players. All teams are coached by
volunteer coaches who have completed all
state and City-required coaching certifications, ensuring a safe and positive environment for every participant. Registration opens in August and ends in mid-November.
The basketball program is overseen by
Commissioner Darren Rice.

BurlCo Riverfront Recreation Basketball League
Grades: 1st–8th
This recreational league focuses on player development, sportsmanship, and teamwork while offering competitive play.
Program Details:
- Practices begin: December (twice per week)
- Games: January through February
- Playoffs: March, based on team standings
- All-Star Game: Selected players participate in a league All-Star game
Registration Includes:
- City of Burlington game-day jersey
Additional Notes:
- Fees for trophies and end-of-season parties are determined by each team’s coach.
South Jersey Boys Basketball League (Town Travel Program)
This is a
town travel league competing against other South Jersey municipalities and is intended for players seeking a higher level of competition.
Program Details:
- Tryouts: October
- Players selected after tryouts will be invited to register
- Practices begin: Late October
- Games begin: December

- Uniform costs and any league-required fees will be communicated by coaches once teams are formed.
